Asbestos is a collection of naturally occurring silicate minerals that contain long thin fibrous crystals. with each visible fiber composed of ‘fibrils’ that can be released by abrasion.

So, they are commonly identified by their colour bluebrownwhite and green asbestos.

Asbestos History

As already told, Asbestos is naturally formed silicate minerals. its mining began back 4000 years ago, but large-scale mining began at the end of 19th century.

Then the manufactures and builders started using asbestos for their desired physical properties like for sound absorption, resistance to fire, heat, electricity.

It was also used for electrical insulation, hotplate wiring, building insulation etc.

Asbestos was widely used till 20th century until public started knowing the health hazards of the asbestos.

Asbestos Effects

Inhalation of asbestos fibre can cause a very serious and harmful illness like lung cancer, mesothelioma & more.

In Short, Mesothelioma Wiki is a type of Cancer that begins from the thin layer of tissue and covers the internal organ and is also known Mesothelium.

Mesothelioma commonly affects The Lungs and The Chest Wall, however, in some cases, Mesothelioma has also been seen affecting the Lining of abdomen and sac surrounding the heart.
